Didja Know?TM Begun with ratification of the 18th Amendment, ending with the 21st Amendment, Prohibition lasted 13 years, 10 months, 19 days, 17 hours, 32 1/2 minutes. The failed “noble experiment” destroyed many breweries and set American beer back decades. See what happens when crazy people are put in charge?

Great beer, great food, great place...and, most of all,
great people made this trip one to remember!

December 1st, 2006: Heading back to Upstate NY
Part 2 - On The Road

Gassing up in Ardsley, NY, a yuppy 'burb north of NYC where the gas stations have plastic gloves at the pumps so the elite don't have to come in actual contact with something so vulgar and coarse as petrol!

The Tappan zee Bridge, and Hudson River. What a blustery day, said Pooh.

We stopped by The Gilded Otter Brewing Company, a great brewpub in New Paltz, NY. Darren Currier, Brewmaster at the Otter, showed us around the place and spent some time talking beer with us. Great guy, great place...stop by next time you're driving on the New York State Thruway between Albany and NYC. Just a scant 2 miles from the exit, it's well worth the trip!
